Random thought

Jiu Jitsu satisfies my need to manage my aggression in a controlled manner.

Aikido satisfies my need to calm and soften my thoughts while still maintaining a control.

I think there is a need for both, depending on events which are happening in your life.  You cannot walk around in a permanent state of anger, but you cannot always be passive.  A time to be calm, a time to be strident.


It’s not very profound, but it explains to me why I like practicing both.
